Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills, California, the youngest and only daughter of Richard and Irene McCormick. Her father taught in the school system as well as her mother an at-home mother. Michael, Dennis, and Kevin are her three older brothers. Beginning at a very early stage of life, McCormick loved to sing and dance. She also often stage puppet shows to entertain the children of the neighborhood. The next big project she was a part of was in a commercial on television for the "Chatty" the Cathy doll. He was 19. She was just 16. "It could have been a possibility," she said, "but the timing wasn't right the way it was for us."
