Anita Barone
A versatile stage actress who has mainly been cast in comedy shows that air on TV, Anita Barone received her biggest break on the stage as the spouse of Jeff Foxworthy on "The Jeff Foxworthy Show," which ran one season on ABC from 1995-96. Barone's first stage appearance was at the age of five years old, in Detroit the city where her family relocated after having moved out of St Louis. In her early twenties, she had appeared in more than 50 shows mostly at university productions as well as regional theatres. She played Juliet in Romeo and Juliet, Helen Keller in an adaptation of "Monday after the Miracle" and also the role as Agnes the young, tormented character in "Agnes of God." She made her screen debut by playing a minor role in "The Rosary Murders" (1987) she also played an appearance on screen in "Ricochet" (1991) as well as she was given a role as the lead actress in the romantic comedy indie "Just Friends" (1996). But Barone's first Hollywood work of note was as a part of the stock company of "Carol and Company" (NBC from 1990 to 1991) The shaky attempt to Carol Burnett to revive the variety show/comedy program. Barone was also in the 1995 USA Network movie, "Wounded Heart". In the end, she returned to her weekly sitcom, starring alongside Michael Chiklis on "Daddio".
